You can get the weekend started Friday evening at the St. Pete Taco and Beer Fiesta from 6 to 11 p.m. at Albert Whitted Park. Itís a serious all-star cast of food trucks: St. Pete Taco Lady, I Wanna Wok, Fiesta Bowls, Boom Boom Box, Just Smokiní BBQ, Kebablicious, Shanghai Fresh, Casablanca Fusion, Krepelicious, Got Lobstah?, Anju Korean Gastrotruck, Ramen and Waffles, Smokiní Bowls, Better Than Eveís BBQ, Surf and Turf Truck, Sargeís Smokehouse BBQ, Maggie on the Move, Flipín Tasty Filipino Food Truck, Rubbed and Pulled and Sextonís Pizza. PIGSKIN BATTLE: GRIDIRON CHALLENGE
For families, one of the top draws on Saturday takes place at the Gridiron Cooking Challenge in Tampa. Watch as area elementary and middle school students prepare their best healthy, dairy-based recipe on site for a panel of judges to select the winners of a $2,500 prize pack for their school. Also, there will be cooking demonstrations by Publix and photo opportunities with Tampa Bay Buccaneer Ali Marpet, Buccaneers cheerleaders and Captain Fear.
