Creatives converge for an Etsy Craft Party and markets abound

Etsy, the online marketplace for makers, artists and vintage sellers, is still going strong after being around for 13 years. It's especially cool that so many Etsy sellers are from the bay area, enough to warrant an Etsy Craft Party that fills the St. Petersburg Coliseum each year. The event presented by the Tampa Bay Etsy Crew returns this Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. In addition to the many, and I mean many, fabulous vendors, there will be demonstrations and make-and-take projects, as well as a raffle benefiting Friends of Strays Animal Shelter. It's free to attend. 535 Fourth Ave. N.

Kick off your weekend Friday with the Sunset Market at Brew Bus Brewing in Seminole Heights. This evening market with local vendors and artisans has a party vibe, with craft beers and spirits, bites from the Eatery, live music by Geri X, live art and fun photo ops in the Wild Hearts Photo Booth Bus. Since parking can be an issue, bike valet is provided by Two Broke Spokes and an overflow lot has been secured at 4315 N Florida Ave., with shuttles running back and forth. The market is 6-10 p.m. at 4101 N Florida Ave., Tampa.

The St. Pete Indie Market happens Saturday at Nova 535, its summer location. Expect the same great vendors, makers and artists, just in the comfort of air conditioning and a beautiful venue. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 535 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N.

Get your retro fix this Saturday-Sunday at the Brocante Vintage Market, held in a 15,000-square-foot warehouse across from 3 Daughters Brewing Co. in St. Pete. New finds are always up for grabs at the monthly market. While the building is climate controlled, organizers warn that it does get warm in summer months, so dress appropriately and stay hydrated. 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. 2200 Second Ave. S.
